You don’t randomly do stuff like this without having inside knowledge, and you’re not a rookie stealing a little bag of weed when you’re going in with a bulletproof vest on, tying up cartel members, and executing them with 2 to the back of the head point blank.

It's also possible they were a couple dumbass toughguys who watched too many movies and rap videos, thought the other guy was some smalltime dealer who ain't from around here, so figured they'd go get that boi and show him how we do.

He was a teacher at some pop up charter school in a strip mall. Not saying that this is one of them, but some of these charter schools are really sketchy

What a wild story top to bottom. At the end of the day, I am sure the kids he coached and taught probably loved him and did not realize he was living a double life.

Assuming it was with an Ar-15 or Ak most likely from close range?

Given the people involved, I was suspecting maybe a FN5.7 if not a 5.56 Cartel guys love that shite... plus one of the stories mentioned "special ammo" that allowed them to pass through the vest. It's the detail I'm now most interested in

Listen Fat. Lemme break it down for you.

Coach been hustling weed in school through his players for a minute. His bro and him decide to step it up and got a connect w/ bigger better offerings to help their clout in the clubs and party scene ie bigger customer base.

If the tracking device info is correct, then they've been buying from the cartel esse's, probably got shorted or got some super cut coke that pissed off their customers/selves on a bunk high. They met up for a buy, placed a gps tracker on the cartel bro's truck. Watched the spot for a bit and picked a time that they could slide in and ambush him hoping to get the stash and cash.

If the trailer was in a trailer park then shooting him was dumb, they already had him tied up, choking him out or cutting his throat would've been the way to go. As soon as they fired that first bullet they gave up their cover and outed themselves.

Teacher was a dirty thug and now his brother is gonna rat to save his hide.

Harris, wearing a bulletproof vest, gloves and a face mask, was shot multiple times, according to the sheriff. Lara, whose hands and feet were bound, was shot twice in the back of the head.

Whoops, that didn’t go as planned

So I assume he got arrested as well.

I would think being arrested for robbing a Mexican Drug Cartel member isn’t the worst thing that could happen

Ha yeah I saw that. I was just thinking a rifle at short range is likely to penetrate certain vests? But it wouldn't be the first time someone like the Cartel used armor piercing rounds against police.

WTF? This dude performed a premeditated assassination and attempted robbery. He's not a victim.
Says the sheriff who seems to know a lot about the cartel operating in his county.

For right now, Ima believe the people who have known the guy and claim he was a good guy before I believe "robbery".

Maybe he'd just had the last straw and went in to deal with shite that wasn't being dealt with by the sheriff. Maybe he got set up to show up after an assassination. Maybe a lot of stuff, who knows.

after trying to rob the home of a Mexican drug cartel member,
WTF?

Bro, this is not like robbing Jamal the local crack dealer, this is a cartel member. Did these dudes not realize what the cartel does to people who cross them?

“Hey man, I got a great idea. Let’s rob the cartel.”

Hard pass.
