They could do an episode on one of my former friends.
He killed an informant while being watched by police in baton rouge. Hes been in Angola for about 13 years now. White guy too, grew up with money. Dumbass though, always was.

Law and order and it’s spinoffs use big city locations where they can walk around knocking on doors for witnesses in a city of millions.
Baton Rouge is so spread out. This seems ludicrous. Oh and who here thinks when our brave detectives show up they will be met with the good will of the citizen witnesses?
Also, will there be witty banter while cops are stuck in traffic on the interstate about our new bridge? That would be real.

Which way will they go with it? Will they try to exaggerate the city side of Baton Rouge and talk up the town as a "lively" Capital City and rival to New Orleans? Basically create a knock-off NCIS: New Orleans.
Or...will everyone from down home in Baton Rouge County talk and act like they're from rural Alabama circa 1964.
I'm guessing the latter, since we lost our "beloved" coroner...Man, I tell you no one (and I mean NO ONE) could recognize a dead body better than Redneck McCajunGuy.

This show will have to incorporate an ex-military helicopter pilot character like many good cop shows from the 70's/80's. He could save the day when traffic gets bad.
