Both those places already had beaches and tourism. BR has plants and traffic.
Plots will concern Col Beauregard reviving the klan, students at "Bayou State University" hanging a noose outside a black frat house, and Jeff Davis County baws hunting black homosexuals a la Deliverance/Most Dangerous Game.
It won't create the traffic of a beach place, but you can still get tourists that way. Look at NO for the past 50 years.

Yep. The main character will be a black woman and the "simmering romance" will be interracial. Gotta check all of the SJW boxes. They'll have BR residents either speaking with ridiculously exaggerated southern accents or like red neck country bumpkins. There will be constant references to being "down on the bayou" and people will eat crawfish and say "laissez les bon temps rouler" every day. At least there won't be a second line parade in every episode like in CSI: New Orleans.

Don't you be so flip about her when you reference her.
You don't know her. She's a saint too, like Dorothy Mantooth.

Coroner's don't solve murders. They determine cause of death.
And real forensics investigators sit in a lab all day and stare through microscopes. That never stopped CSI.

The first episode should just be the main character sitting in traffic the whole time

Will Gravy have a recurring role?

I love it. There has to be an 18-wheeler crash on the bridge or a vehicle on fire for maximum realism.

First episode will be people waiting in line for top golf

It will probably be marketed as "True Blood meets CSI". Everyone will have a hand held fan while fanning themselves as they think we don't have air conditioning.

So many foot chase scenes through LSU campus during tailgating incoming. They'll have to do something to compensate for lack of car scenes because even in the world of television a high speed chase through BR traffic is a fantasy.
The first episode will be about the murder of a shady character from Birmingham who knew too much. Guest Starring Sam Waterson as The AD and Michael Chiklis as the head football coach

This should be fun.
Everyone will talk in a coonass accent, take a pirouge to work, and it will be Mardi Gras every weekend.

There’s a decent backlog of cases from the 90s on to work with.
Such as the upper class kid who killed his mom and tried to kill his dad. And the guy who killed three people at Calendars. And two serial killers.

And two serial killer
Psh, that we know of. It’s pretty widely believed by former cops and detectives that there may have been as many as half-a-dozen serial killers operating in BR during that time span, but they only caught two of them. In fact, there’s at least two serial killers right now.

Given recent history in BR, they also apparently pimp out the sister of the guy who shoots them in the middle of a crowded restaurant.

I’m going off what’s been solved.
Given the parade of dead bodies which hadn’t been solved, it could be serial killers, drug turf wars, or pimps disposing of clients trying to change management.

Killing randoms or specific people?
