Not to hijack your thread, but do you always ride the Parkway? I may try it out this weekend (although this past weekend would have been perfect for it).

Any other good spots to ride? I've done Shelby Bottoms a couple of times, but it gets too congested and isn't long enough.

Absolutely. Leipers Creek to Fly is one of the best routes you will ever ride. Fernvale via backbone ridge, Trace is good but unless you're in good shape the rollers will get you eventually.

How far are you looking to go?

if he was paralyzed from the accident you don't think he would be facing more prison time?

In your mind, does that make this an act of premeditation?

Certainly more liability at least. They've already piled on the criminal charges to an absurd degree.

Those are separate and apart from the accident itself though.

Except in your mind where the driver has a war room in his basement with biker targets and a miniature replica of the park road system with prime locations for running over bikers pinpointed.

and i think the fact he wasn't critically injured will allow more room for plea deals on the criminal charges. Guy probably won't spend a day in jail. He will pay after a civil case but still probably not much

Will be interesting to hear what his son has to say.

The perp could literally get on the stand and scream he hates cyclists and goes out actively seeking to run them off the road and idiots on here would still be on his side.

It will be.

In all honesty, I doubt it was an accident, but I also doubt that it was some premeditated act. His subsequent behavior of course deserves significant punishment.

Dude, you are insisting that this accident was some kind of premeditated act and that you hope this guy gets 37 years in prison. Maybe pump the brakes a little on calling everyone idiots.
