Maybe we should ban SUV's if they are such deadly weapons?

One guy engaged in a perfectly legal activity. Other guy assaulted with a deadly weapon, fled the crime scene, lied to the feds and destroyed evidence and you're taking that guys side.

Never change OT.

Your knowledge of the rules of evidence is truly impressive. Res ipsa loquitur is a negligence doctrine.

enough witnesses that he has been aggressive with cyclists before could be enough to prove intent, no?

I'd like to cycle for exercise, but I don't know how yall do it. You get you arse ran over in a car at 5mph over the speed limit.

I'm not putting my arse on a 20 lb tinker toy and jumping out in traffic. Legal or not.

Hell, people in my small neighborhood will run your arse off the road and wave and smile as they do it.

Crazy sonsofbishes, the lot of you. Add cell phones to 4,000 lb cars mixed in with stupidity, yikes...frick that.

Guy 1: engages in perfectly legal outdoor activity in a place designed for this activity (it's not like he was riding on fricking I-10); does literally nothing wrong.

Guy 2: intentionally assaults guy 1 with his car, runs away, hides evidence, lies about it.

OT's verdict: "Both are assholes and guy 2 should get a slap on the wrist."

This fricking place

Yep

They gonna keep trying to find a way to make the Lycra dude at fault because.... cyclists

Only on the OT do people equate fleeing the scene after intensionally running over a guy with a car to a fender bender hit and run.

I wish we could ban cyclists in the crosswalks.

I mean, the guy's own son turned him in - that pretty much says it all.

He probably just nicked the guy with the mirror.

Do you really think SUV's are deadly weapons?
