You know we grow food in cow feces everyday..... and we're not even in space.

I don't know, but there is someone already in a Nissan Altima running a donut spare, a busted headlight and a crumpled fender ready to cut you off when you leave the parking lot.

They don't do that in the space shuttle, doubt they will on the surface. I'm sure it'll have similar tech and insulation.

We are, but it is just because the Russians and Chinese are too. We are so bad at anything related to space despite having the best STEM people.

There's still a major issue of the human body being accustomed to gravity.

Astronauts lose 1-2% of their bone mass per month in space. They can lose 50% of muscle mass in a few months. That's even with resistance train to help compensate.

The human body just isn't designed for low/no gravity and atrophies quickly.

The longest anyone has ever been in space in one go is 374 days, basically one year, which is nothing when it comes to longer missions and semi permanent colonies.

Until artificial gravity is a thing I think we're essentially stuck on earth.

The moon isn't zero gravity. People could stay much longer on the moon with exercises and weights to prevent atrophy.

For multiple reason, living on the moon would be much harsher on the human body than would inhabiting ISS.

It's going to happen. AI will give all humans an elite lifestyle. And I won't cum in your mouth.

I was speaking to the bone loss and atrophy angle. Not all the other angles.

The moon has gravity. Ever watch a moon walk video? Apollo 11, 12,14–17.

Got ya. Microgravity would definitely suck more than fractional gravity.

I'm personally worried about nuclear blasts on the moon throwing it out of its orbit with earth and causing lots of problems with tides......meanwhile the moon just continues to careen throughout the galaxy while Commander John Koenig and Dr Helena Russell engage is something of an unrecoited relationship and new adventures.
