During an interview on “Good Morning America” in 2016, the “Love Can Build a Bridge” singer revealed that she had been facing “extreme” and “severe depression,” which left her housebound. Judd’s condition worsened after she and daughter Wynonna stopped touring as The Judds in 2011.

I would come home and not leave the house for three weeks, and not get out of my pajamas, and not practice normal hygiene. It was really bad.”

She even shared that she had seriously considered taking her own life at a bridge near her farm. LINK

That's why I said "2nd" at worst. The Wilson's are the greatest female duo IMO but then you said this:

Slow your roll. I love Heart but Naomi and Wynonna at their peak were as good as it got in any genre of music. It's closer than you are giving credit for.

And Wynonna can SING! Great, soulful voice.

In all seriousness, it’s pretty well known that the Judds all have homes near each other off the Natchez Trace outside of Nashville,, so it’s very likely that she was talking about this bridge, which ive been over several times , but has been a magnet for suicides for a long time .

So I'm expected to "suck it up" for the past 40 or 45 years so I don't offend my family? Do you think that's "fair"? I'll be so glad when my elders are dead so I can pull the trigger guilt free.

Have you tried weed and King of the Hill reruns?

I've smoked a few pots back in the day, but I'm not really a fan of smoking anything.

Weed or no weed, I think King Of The Hill is hysterical.

She was in sad shape at the CMA's if you looked close. I suspect it was not along the lines of suicide, but some extreme advanced physical result of some dementia. So sad.

RIP.

When I watched the video a few weeks ago, I could barely hear Naomi's voice and I thought she seemed a bit strange and forced. I know Wynonna's voice is much stronger, but it was almost like Naomi's part was to stand there and wave her arms around. It seemed off to me.

So sad they she passed away before the induction and the tour. Has to be devastating for her daughters and husband.

I wonder what went on this last day or so.
Suicide is still very selfish at any age and I'm sure the family is devastated.

When people say this sort of thing, it's clear that those people have no concept of mental illness and depression. It can be completely debilitating and particularly when medications do not work or must be constantly adjusted. It's a very complicated illness and, sadly, not everyone survives it. Many commit suicide because in their state of mind, they believe they are giving peace to those they love. It doesn't make sense to folks who don't suffer from the disease. Their pain is so extreme, they believe they can't go another day. It's a tragic disease for those with it and those who love them.

No, IT’S NOT CLOSE .

I’ll admit, when i made my original statement , my knowledge of the Judds’ music was pretty limited.. Now, after hearing a lot more of their music over the last few days- i can state unequivocally that it’s mostly complete dreck… To think they are remotely in the same vicinity as Heart artistically or musically is total nonsense…. Except for ‘All i Wanna Do is Make Love to you’, which may be the worst song ever recorded- Heart was pretty much hitting on all cylinders at all times .

Lulz. You can say that you don't like them, their genre, or their style but to call them "complete dreck" is just dumb.

Their 20 top ten hits, 15 number ones, and 5 Grammys say you have no basis in reality for calling them terrible artists. They never lost at any of the 3 major Country Music Award shows if they were nominated for 8 straight years.

Now I will say that I am not a big fan as I'm just not a big country guy. But I can respect their talent and say that they were a force in their time and place in music history.

None of that is a true statement on quality of the music. Total shite wins Grammys in many instances. Popularity is no gage either. McDonalds is the world's most frequented restaurant.

I mean, if you’re referring to the pics of her from the last couple days- my guess is that her face is contorted from hurting and crying hysterically from losing her mother…. Also, she has gotten older, which is happening to me and to you as we speak… I cant believe we’re commenting on her appearance at a time like this.. let her grieve, for crying out loud .

Treatment resistant depression is so awful. I have a client with it right now and they’re in the process of moving to Oregon so they can have the option to try medically supervised microdosing with Psilocybin since all that’s available here is ketamine infusions which only worked temporarily for them.
