Make it easy on them and just go with Michael and Mary Jane. There is no reason to outdo your friend's kids, Stormie and Aydyn.

Take the Latino route and go with: Bruce Kaitlynn Squirrelkin Dragonbeast Esquivera Don Hermoine Fabulosa Kangs Lemonjello Orangello Xcghtredfv, the Gender Fluid, non racial, non binary, (your last name here).

If the child can spell it all correctly by the time it gradumatriculates Home/High School...gratz on the lil genius!

These are the types of details parents should know.

I will give her the boy name bc it's a girl.

What?

Naming a child is fun process but so difficult. I just will let it come to us like it did for our first child. The many back and forths is fun and I enjoy it big time.

This I simply do not understand. Why don't you want to know the gender beforehand?

No it isn't. Just take into account one thing, this child will eventually be an adult, presumably in need of a job. Don't give it a name (or spelling) you would laugh at if it came across your desk on a resume. That's literally all you have to do.

Parents that give their kids "unique" names are selfish assholes. The kid has to live with that name their entire life and they have no say in what it is.

I don't get it either. And usually they say they "want to be surprised." It's a surprise when you find out anytime, one just let's you prepare.

They don’t want to know the gender so they can hold one of these new “gender reveal” parties.

what a bunch of crap that is

We agreed on the first and disagreed on the second. She got her way. After that I just let her name them what she wanted.

Everyone in my family in 4 generations has family names except one. I love that. When the last one thing as born, they really looked hard through all sides and have of families for names. Fine name was picked. I love every name in my family except that one. She hates that she’s never t named after someone.

Never think of it as naming a child. Imagine someone fully grown applying for their first job and what kind of name you'd like to see on the resume.

Keep it relatively short and simple. Especially for boys. You can never go wrong with a Disciple name (minus Judas, of course). I'd personally steer clear of all of the "trendy" names. It's like buying a home that has that obvious 80's feel to it, and you can't exactly remodel a name like you can a house.

I've grown more traditional the older I've gotten. The classics are there for a reason. They'll never be out of style or unprofessional.

All I can say is don't name your child something they will want to kick you in the giblets for later in life. I put the smack down on all the stupid names my wife came up with for our kids.
