Assuming equal peak HP, what about the driving experience of an ICE would you say is superior to that of a hybrid drivetrain?
No lag or variability in throttle response.
Plus, nothing can replace the exhaust note of an ICE.

Yea, seems to be the latter from what i'm seeing on the people that complain about it. I believe they usually are set based on time, not necessarily distance (ie the appropriate time gap to be able to stop at the current speeds), though that usually is generally a rough distance you can calculate too. I think most, the shortest setting is usually around 80-100 feet. If that is too far for some to slow down if they can't pass the person in front of them, yeesh.

I'm a little confused by this, being electric drivetrains have vastly more "low rpm" torque and are therefore vastly more responsive off the line. I would be curious to know what you've driven that gave you that experience.

I'd much prefer the quiet, but I get it

- Apple Play – I know this is going away in a lot of vehicles, but it’s a great OS, for lack of a better word.
I do love Apple CarPlay because I have access to my entire music collection when I'm driving. I have about 1200 albums on my iTouch, just plug it in, easy peasy. It always sucked picking just a dozen or so cds for a road trip.
I also really like heated seats. The MINI has three settings, toasty, roasty, and burnt.

Correct, but no thrill of rowing gears. Hybrid drivetrains are a wild card when it comes to responsiveness/changeover.

Agree to disagree

That’s more lag and variability, not less.

That’s not my experience. What have you driven that gave you that experience?

Heated steering wheels are really nice.
I hate adaptive cruise but I see that’s a hot take in here. I also hate massive screens in the dash. Give me a small screen for CarPlay but I prefer buttons over screens all day long.

I do not like the radio… only scans “favorites” from the steering wheel, can’t just scan all FM. I travel a bit from Georgia and all across SC and like terrestrial radio- new tech makes it hard to use while driving.
Get spotify. Make a few playlists of the music you like. I have not used a "radio" in years.
If you get tired of your playlists you can use theirs... like 70's or whatever music you like. Its great.

I have a 2010 f150 and that step built into the tailgate is great
