[Hitchin’ Post in Ozona Texas.

I was driving I-10 to California and pulled off to have lunch. Saw a sign that said Steak Special Today. Got the steak with fries and green beans. The steak had to be 16 oz. Great meal. If I remember correctly it was $10.]

I know this one well. Very good little spot Excellent chicken fried steak.

I was a kid so the details are foggy but I remember my Dad taking us to a place on 10, east of Lafayette that I think was next to a Landry's, feel like it was called The Boudin Shop. Had awesome pistolletes.

did anyone ever go to Jim Bowie Relay Station in Enterprise, LA?

I went several times back in the day. It was a great place when the Bartmess/Roark families were running it. Consistently packed with live music. Lots of antiques for decor.

There's a great Ice Cream stand in Mer Rouge, best soft serve I've ever had.

Don't eat it too fast. It will give you a headache.
