Are you serious? You get that from this poster? I think you're just looking to be offended by something. Lucky for people like you that there's so many spineless people in charge nowadays. I would have told the naacp to pound sand, guess that make me the "R" word...

Good. It's an ugly poster and there's no way the committee that selected it didn't see it as anything but racist.

Most of the people "offended" were white people from what I saw in the comment section on the Facebook posts.

So can you make art of any kind with black people? Or is it inherently racist?

The 2nd photo looks like a child painted it stylistically, Kalle's photo is a lot better, IMO.

Those 3 photos are not offensive, and it's not because the artist is white (I disgree with Jarvis Deberry) im trying to think of a way on how to articulate why the festival photo was offensive to me and others

Well the photo, as some take it, it's a throwback to blatantly racist photos. So one could ask the question, why would one want to replicate those ugly times/styles

Yes you can! But your best bet to not make them grotesque sambos caricatures.

I'm sure it's because they were painted extremely black. If it was lighter skinned black children in their Sunday best going to a strawberry festival you wouldn't have heard a word about it.

Emphasis added.

Your perceived offense does not create some sort of a duty on my part to refrain from some sort of behavior. Sorry, bruh.

Read: I have no clue why it's racist but let me think about it for awhile and I'll come up with something.

Actually that's not true.

Skin tone,
Docile, happy go lucky nature of the kids
The hair depiction

It has a very ministrel appeal to it, shows in while lofted the docile and dumb nature of slave children
