I don't think St. George is going to pass. Hysteria seems to work with modern voters, and the St. George opponents have presented a hysterical campaign loaded with fear tactics.

Possibly.

My mindset is that the polling shows it being close and that the tactics of the TBR side have made it so that a lot of people likely claimed “undecided” rather than St George to prevent abuse.

Proponents of St. George failed on their first attempt to get the issue before voters. After that, they carved out new lines, taking out much of the black population.

Besides a new school district and breaking up the City Parish form of government, what’s the next thing you want to come of this?

I want to see a more prosperous metro Baton Rouge area, with St. George leading the area's population growth with competitive schools, reasonable costs of living, and attractive business climate.

In 15 years, I want a metro area that is more attractive for everyone. East Baton Rouge Parish, in particular, should have a place for everyone.

How does St. George get to draw their own boundary lines?
Shouldn't the incorporated part of Baton Rouge have a say so or have a vote.

Why would they? Baton Rouge isn't breaking up.

You won't be able to help it if decent public schools are established. The housing will fill up. More will have to be built somewhere. Home values will rise.

This is likely going to be at the expense of Livingston and Ascension. I'm also hoping that the area as a whole becomes more attractive because of this.
