These radio bursts are only millisecond-long radio flashes, and such rapid bursts themselves aren't rare in space.
But this is only the second one that has been found to repeat. The mystery about why these bursts happen and where they come from continues, which always spurs believers to think that advanced extraterrestrial civilizations are creating them.

You’d think

would be using a little different technology than a CB. “Breaker 1-9, this is Zoltar, what’s your 20?”

Peasant aliens haven't discovered any means of communication past radio waves.
We can take em...

Perhaps the bursts are from Earth, making their rounds around the universe and back around again as very weak.

Not possible.
Our first signals haven't reached close to that far yet.

One thing I am curious to know is at what point in space would our own radio transmissions that we have sent out over the last appx. 100 years or so become garbled or unrecognizable even to us?

It’s probably 104.5 talking about Devin white going pro.

It can’t be aliens because they don’t exist because god created us. Who would have created the aliens? Nobody.
Or, god is actually the head alien and he put us here so long ago we’ve forgotten that we’re aliens.
This shite is far out. Sofa king fascinating

It depends on the gain of the receiving antenna and receiver sensitivity, as the signal travels the signal density is decreasing inversely proportional to the square of the distance just like a beam of light spreads and grows dimmer with distance. Astronomers believe this signal burst was generated by some type of natural phenomenon because the signal level would have required a enormous amount of power to produce had it been generate by intelligent life.

150billion light years is more technically known as “really fricking far”. I don’t think our signals could go that far and back in any sort of time frame that we can comprehend. Would it take 150billion years?
