That is the remnant of a NASA experiment done in 1974 where they, along with the CIA and Air Force, tested a new weapon designed to flood cities like Moscow with magma from the earth's core. FACT.

I don't think a weapon would be that smooth. You do raise a poingant issue - have we ever tested a space weapon using Mars (or some other planet)?

You are correct - lava tubes do not need explanation. However, that is definitely NOT a lava tube.
It is a mystery, even to the investigators, but it is no mystery that it is not a lava tube. I know this.
