My truck just got stolen in Nola

Waiting on the police to arrive. It literally happened within the last 20 minutes. Took my dog on a walk, cane back and it was gone. Waiting on the police to show up. I’m sure they’ll be here shortly.
Update:
My truck was found in East Nola at a dumpy apartment complex. Thank you OnStar. The police said they parked it there to make sure that it didn’t have a tracking advice. Yes, they took the keys.
From talking to the officer, car theft is an epidemic in New Orleans right now thanks to mayor Landrieu’s “No chase” policy. The department can’t chase anyone in a car if it’s crime related. He actually said the felons will come by and taunt the police because they know they can’t do shite about it-suspension or termination if they chase.
So, what I learned from this is don’t leave your keys in your truck in the city and New Orleans has turned into a liberal shite hole.
$600 to get it towed, and a new key made.

Did you leave your keys in the truck while you went walking? Did it get towed for nonpayment of parking tickets?
How does one steal a vehicle these days? I thought most were protected from "hotwiring" with the introduction of RFID chips in the keys.
