He kind of wants to be in cancer research. But we have to see how it goes.

My son takes the MCAT this Spring and begins applying this Summer. Did your son do a prep course?

Congrats on the 400k in loans

No but seriously, as an MD it’s a long and very tiring road but ultimately worth it to get to do what we do.

Congrats to your son. Hopefully he can stay in Mississippi and help address the physician shortage there.

You get what you pay for. And if you want shitty healthcare, pay shitty salaries to people in healthcare.

I personally found the prep courses to be a waste. Not that you can't glean useful tips from them, but I don't think it's worth the $1500-2000 or whatever they're charging for it these days. Plenty of free or cheaper resources online

I don’t think this happens that soon but it’s coming. So many brainwashed idiots thinking the govt knows what’s best for them.

He took the Kaplan and it was expensive. Did it help? IDK if it helped with the material that much according to him but it did kind of give him a boost with some test taking tips and probably gave him a little more confidence. But what you gonna do?

An up vote and congratulations to your son. Of course, you and the wife will now have to arrange his marriage and get him membership in the country club.
