I take my Private Pilot Checkride/Practical Exam tomorrow in a Cessna 172.
During the oral portion of my first exam I was asked what aero-medical factors should be considered when having a scuba diver for a passenger, he probably thought it was an obscure enough question to send me scrambling, fortunately I was a scuba diver. Good luck!

shame that Flying is just for the rich now no way a new Cessna is really worth $400k when you can get a nice used one for $20-30

I sold a buy a motorcycle one time who was pretty inexperienced. As he was riding out of the parking lot where we made the deal he got tboned by a concrete truck.

I called mine Pop and my sisters called him Poppa.
He wasn't a pilot but he sat between the pilots while they landed Owens Corning's GIV at Augusta and when they came over the mountains and landed it in Aspen.
I flew in a Cherokee Piper and it sounded like a Singer sewing machine and we listened to Rush Limbaugh on WWL. Won't fly in something that small again.

My folks sold our old family sedan to a girl I went to high school with and knew well. Beautiful and sweet girl. She had a one car accident and died.

Was wondering if cost plays a role in pilots pushing aircraft? Meaning recreational pilots.
Say I am a ref pilot in a little Cessna. After all is said and done, what does it cost me to declare an emergency and say I am near Bush or Hobby? I essentially shut down an airport for a few minutes. Add to that, say the landing was rough and a runway is shut down for a period of time?
Does the pilot have to pay? Take a big fine?
I once knew a woman who FLEW her plane for maintenance. She survived, but will have a crooked pelvis forever.

THE ACCIDENT AIRPLANE COLLIDED WITH TERRAIN AFTER LOSING CONTROL DURING IMC FLIGHT (SNOW). FAA RECORDS SHOW THE PILOT HAD REQUESTED AN IFR CLEARANCE TO HIS DESTINATION WHILE HE WAS RECEIVING VFR FLIGHT FOLLOWING SERVICES. EXAMINATION OF THE AIRPLANE WRECKAGE SHOWED THE PITOT TUBE PACKED WITH ICE CRYSTALS. CAUSE: FAILURE TO MAINTAIN AIRCRAFT CONTROL BY THE PILOT IN COMMND. FACTORS IN THE ACCIDENT ARE THE PILOT'S CONTINUED FLIGHT INTO KNOWN ADVERSE WEATHER, A BLOCKED PITOT STATIC SYSTEM, LACK OF TOTAL EXPEREINCE IN TYPE OF OPERATION, AND LACK OF TOTAL EXPEREINCE IN T
Those things are not built for flight into icing. Sadly people get too confident in their own skills and start neglecting safety because they have to get somewhere.
And to the guy going for his private today. Good luck

Bush has 5 runways so you wouldn't completely shut down the airport even if you shut down one of the runways.
