It’s not a financial strategy I recommend, but I think the root problem is people are willing to plunk $70k on a Tahoe in the first place. But I get what you’re saying—if 6-9 year terms weren’t offered then people wouldn’t be able to pay these prices and everyone would be better off.

I doubt it's at a low rate. Bank, or even the manufacturer's financing arm, I doubt ties up for that long unless it's a very nice interest rate, for them.
