There are certain cars that I might consider taking a 9 year loan on. A Denali is not one of them..

If a baw were to purcahse his Deanli for $72K and finance at 4.25% for 108mos...the total cost would be $86,771
60 mos comes out to about $80k, so $6k extra for the extra years, it seems.

Couldn't you argue for the longer, 108 month interest for someone with great credit and could get the loan in the 2% range? Yes I'm aware that the majority of people doing the 108 month deal are probably out of their price range, but I'm thinking it's technically the correct play if you're 800+ credit score and low interest rate range, right?

Nb4 lnchbox argues this is a good financial move for somebody that wants a truck instead of a boring Camry

Most borrowers are going to need a calculator to figure out how many years a 108 month loan is.

No calculator, but fingers were used!

When I was probably 20 years old, didn't have much family to help out, this is exactly how i negotiated my 1st car by myself.

I imagine the risk associated with total loss in the event of an auto accident or mechanical breakdown over a 9 year span and never catching up to depreciation weighs heavily as well.

I don't even drive the same car for 9 years , let alone do I want to finance one for that long.

My primary vehicle is a 2016 Ford Focus ST and I'm already getting itchy for something different. Seriously considering a Hellcat in fact. If they built it in Hemi Orange there wouldn't even be much to think about.

I guess I could get a Camaro instead, put $1500 down , finance it for 9 years and have a $400 payment or something.........

That Denali edition 1500 gonna look sweet sitting in my driveway

You gonna add some 32" wheels with low profiles tires also? I suggest going with gold tinted chrome to math your teeth.

Can someone help me?

Wouldn't these long-term finance options actually inflate car prices in the long run?

Without knowing the rate, how can you state this?
