All I know is that my wife talks to other moms. It's not uncommon for the frequency to be once or twice a month, and its not because of the husband's lack of effort or attention. If women by and large wanted sex as much as men, then male prostitution for females would have the same long, distinguished history that female prostitution does.

This is not uncommon given the information provided. I ran into this shortly after we had kids. It was frustrating as hell. When the Mrs. hit 35 everything changed. We are both now in our 50's. I suspect she may be keeping a calendar somewhere now.

Haven't most men had the vasectomy operation? We mutually decided it was time for me to do that a few years back. Pretty much eliminates the need for sex anymore. Plus the extreme risk to the woman.

Might it be the case that they can more easily be picky because they (on average) have less sex drive than men?
No one is saying women never want to get laid. Like the guy you’re replying to said, many married women with kids are good with once or twice a month. More often than not, their husbands aren’t.

Add in that many women (and men) suffering post-partum depression often move into normal depression. The numbers of Americans on Zoloft can be mind-boggling (it has been a LONG time since I saw the numbers, but they are significant.) Artificial, hormonal birth-control, and Zoloft? Both are mostly libido reducers as side effects; women are absolutely numb to sexual stimulation at that point. :(

I’ve laughed at threads like this for years, and played along, but the premise isn’t true. Have been worried about this for years, kept waiting for it to drop off, but this isn’t true. Wife still damn good after 30 years. The key is to make her feel important and involved, also fit, and not fat for both. Making lots of money helps relieve a lot of stressors and taking exotic vacations feeds her passions. Know your woman, and feed her desires, and it just stays in that dating mode. I’ve seen the ups and downs , it ain’t always been crazy good, but if it dips it’s because I got lazy and selfish...

Not only that, all the women in porn come across as willing and eager, doesn't matter if they really are or not, they act willing. And it's the exact opposite of what the friend is experiencing. Talk about ramp up the anger and resentment when she says no.
