Well, from a biblical perspective it’s quite different. Also I doubt a dog can become a productive member of society or take care of their parents when they are old.
I guess the point is… you don’t have to try very hard to find the differences.

Bread and hydrogen peroxide. That’s how you do it. Throw the dog a few chunks of bread. Then, soak a piece of bread in peroxide. He will eat it and start vomiting almost immediately.

I've lost both. One was killed by a hit and run driver two weeks after her 21st birthday.
I'll never get over either one.

Will Cover, sorry buddy.
Don’t beat yourself up. Who would’ve ever thought the dog would get into those pills? It wouldn’t have crossed my mind.
That dog would want you to be happy.

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered their prayers and condolences during this incredibly difficult time. This week has been especially tough for my family and me, as we lost my father earlier this morning.

I disagree. I mourned my last dog as much as I would one of my children.

Also, to clarify my earlier post: I initially contacted the ER Vet and was advised to reach out to Animal Poison Control. Unfortunately, the wait time was very long, so I decided to drive to the ER Vet in person, believing it was best to get my dog seen right away.
Upon arrival, I was told that speaking with Animal Poison Control was still necessary, as they needed to consult with a toxicologist regarding the amount of aspirin my dog had ingested and the time elapsed since the incident.
When we arrived, my dog appeared fine—she walked in on her own and seemed relatively normal. However, once inside, she suddenly began having a seizure. The staff responded quickly, managing the seizure, sedating her, and starting treatment.
The ER Vet informed me that she would need to stay for at least 2-3 days for further care, so they advised me to return home for now. Sadly, her fever spiked to 109°F, and she coded. The ER Vet and their team performed CPR, but she was unable to breathe on her own, and they could not get a pulse. The ER Vet called me with this information and asked me what I wanted to do. I paused, for a very long time, and made the only decision I thought was best for my dog, stop CPR. I am heartbroken. I absolutely adored by dog. Between my girls and me, we have over 1500 pictures and video of her. I can't tell you how many times, after my separation and divorce, how rock solid she was for me. She helped carry me through many lonely days and nights when I didn't know my next move.
I then had to make a phone call to my two daughters to inform them of the news. That's a call I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. We are very sad, hurt, and down. We will bounce back, but it will take time.
Thank you all once again for your support and understanding during such a challenging time.
Until we meet again, Izzy and Dad.

Hey man, sorry. Don’t beat yourself up. You can’t hide shite constantly.

Give her peanut butter or cheese. Put something in her stomach if she will eat it. That's a lot, but she just might get sick for a little while until its out of her system, but I would stay one the line and wait to talk to APC.

Hopefully.
Otherwise she’s just nuts.

She/he is looking for attention. No way she/he goes through 9 months, gives birth , etc and says that a pet death is the same.
If true then this is a classic case of an unfit parent but I seriously doubt it’s true.

I’ve always loved my pets but it’s not the same love as you have for your actual children. At least, it should be.
