True, but I don't want her social / political views influenced by those types of people.

When I was growing up these were called "Tomboys". Now they are called "Lesbians".

I say let ya girl do her thing. If she gets loose on girls, that's her destiny. Here is the thread from a couple of weeks ago.

Let my daughter play b-ball when she was 7 but steered her to dance and away from competitive sports. Fist punching gals ain't right. Worked great for her.

I coached girls high school basketball and softball for many years. Yes, there were a few gay players (maybe 10%) the vast majority were straight.
The vast majority of all the players I coached were great kids and I cannot think of a better peer group for your daughter.
Leagues where boys and girls play together suck. I coached my daughter's soccer team when she was in first grade. The teams were coed and balanced with each team having 7 girls and 3 boys. We played 7 on 7 I think and each team could only have two boys on the field at the same time.
It turned into 2 on 2 between the boys and the girls had a tough time keeping up.
Find a all girls league for your daughter.

Did you ever catch that guy that shite in your Tacoma?

If you don't get her involved in positive activities like sports at age 9 she is not likely to start at age 12. But she might be influenced toward less desirable activities then. Expose her to sports and as many positive things as you can right now and you will be a good dad.

I think you must be referring to someone else.

Yeah the guy is a pervert who shouldn't be raising kids, frankly.

Playing basketball is a gateway to lesbianism
