This happened to me when I was working at a dairy plant. I left the company after giving two weeks notice. Management knew that I was qualified to work in a technical job not provided at the plant.
I go back and visit the plant a month later and the supervisor tells me that they had two men doing the same job I did by myself. It was funny cause I gave everything i had to the job even though I was overqualified to work at this plant.
