His Facebook posts are very erratic and his job history on their is all over the place. Worked at a strip club in NOLA for 6 years, was interviewing for a job at wing stop a year ago, and then was a shift manager at a bar in LA
Hopefully he just checked himself into rehab

is interesting the PI missed this, though.
If the PI missed that he needs to refund his fee, but I am betting he did not miss it and the OP choose not to post it

I think the OP is well aware of his drug use. He basically gives it away when he says he is the only one looking for him.

Colin was always over at my house in college back when I was in BR. He's had some rough moments since then, but he seemed to be genuinely happier and turning a corner in life as of late.
I really, really hope you find him.

Sounds like drugs
Might have been clean but then involved in big car wreck
Gets a bit of fentanyl and a script for some lortabs from the ER
Spirals from there

I was thinking that the car wreck might have been a result of drug use too.

Would have got tox screen in ER
Though the paramedics likely would have given him some fentanyl en route so would pop positive anyway

Man I’m so sorry. Praying for you and him

First of all prayers for your brother and family…. I know him from high school and I can’t imagine what you are going thru.
I agree with this sentiment about the roommate. This stuck out to me like a sore thumb. I am certain you did your due diligence, and am surprised he was unable to provide any leads or details. Wish I could add something of more substance, but may be worth circling back.
One other thing that I am sure you considered, but do you know any of his friends from BR that may have visited for the LSU/UCLA game? May be a stretch, but maybe someone will come to my mind as I am sure he knew several people that went out there. The timeline is so close that it’s the first thing I thought about.
Keep hope alive and I pray your family finds peace one way or another.

I find it odd that he was moving out of his apartment without having another place 100% lined up to move straight into. Have you talked to the previous landlord? Was he paying his rent?
I think the living arrangement should be explored further. Crashing with a friend is something we did in college not for someone who has a stable job.
Where are all of his things? (Furniture etc)
Exactly
A car accident sucks but it doesn’t cause people to go missing for a month. Leaning on that is just denial

The restaurant people know something, they always do. They know who he was hanging out with, who he was texting, what he was “stressed” about, and even what drugs, if any, he liked. They know what bars he liked to go to, and they probably know the people he knew when they both went to those bars.
Ask, specifically, the people that work in “the back of the house” known as the kitchen in a restaurant - they know the deal.

Someone said earlier, try to find out if that check was cashed. Maybe he went to bank and just cashed it to use on drugs. Hopefully he will be found somewhere.

His most recent Facebook post screams drug addict.

The OP continues to avoid the citation

I have a copy of the written citation too. So go frick your self continuing to post that I’m avoiding something. My fricking brother has been missing for a fricking month and I’m already putting out a lot of personal info in hopes of finding him.
5:30pm-6:30pm was the time. The detective said that’s standard for a citation. One hour. No court date no bond no nothing. I don’t know why I even entertained your bullshite

I know this may sound like a silly question, but it really isn’t…what drug was he cited for?

I mean you kind of did avoid it and that makes it seem like its because you know it was about narcotics
We all hope you find him but you can see why people jump to conclusions.

But you should have created an alternate handle for this.
Why? Do you think he should hide this? Its his brother, I doubt he doesn't give a signal frick what people on this board will think of him. He is just simply using a resource hoping to locate his brother.

Such a weird story line of events. Drugs has to explain the erratic behavior. Would contacting his phone provider be of any use to see if a new number or anything was done to his account ?

Yeah but they aren't going to tell him shite because they have been the ones supplying his brother. I would check to see if he is on a bender in the local homeless camps. Probably the best bet.
