No kidding. My wife’s boss makes the two of them share a hotel room when they go on business trips.

He doesnt think you're a sanitary guy so he uses the most sanitary gesture.

Are you really complaining about a little informality at the fry station?

I have been working with this company for a year now and he still fist bumps. I don't know if this is because I was hired not long after college and he is trying to be "hip" with a younger associate. He does this in front of clients and in meetings, its embarrassing as frick. My first day at this job I accidently grabbed his fist bump because I was fully expecting a normal hand shake like any sane person would. Does anybody else's boss do this?
Sorry.

Who cares? People are too worried about acting professional. Just be a person. Go with the culture and stop worrying about meaningless shite.

A fist bump isn't so bad.
This is what they do at my work:

Put your hand on top his fist next time and say “paper covers rock.”

Give him a big hug and a kiss next time.

The problem is you.
I wish everyone bumped fists instead of shaking hands.. if something is going around- and something is ALWAYS going around— there’s no easier way to transmit it than shaking hands.. kinda wouldnt mind having your boss.

Don't be a child.
Him fist bumping is a non-issue.....relax those college-based, idealistic visions of the professional world.

I fist bump black people cause I want to be socially accepted.

I originally read this as "fist PUMPS", and I was picturing some douchey older gentleman trying to be hip and acting like he was in a club all the time.
That would indeed be terrible.
A fist bump though? I don't mind that, it's a more casual way of saying hi or bye with someone you see frequently instead of having to greet with a handshake every time you see them.
