My boss fist bumps

I have been working with this company for a year now and he still fist bumps. I don't know if this is because I was hired not long after college and he is trying to be "hip" with a younger associate. He does this in front of clients and in meetings, its embarrassing as frick.
My first day at this job I accidently grabbed his fist bump because I was fully expecting a normal hand shake like any sane person would. Does anybody else's boss do this?

I fist bump at the gym because I don't want to shake a dudes nasty workout hands. I am kind of a germaphobe in the gym.
