34 had cancer. We met freshman year of highschool just made 20 years of friendship in September. Life brought us in different directions but always back to each other. We'd pick up right where we left off. Biggest who dat fan. One of his other buddies was a Pat's fan and while in the hospital we were talking football while he was resting and he wakes up from a dead sleep and says "but you know Brady cheated" then passed out again

That's what I'll always remember the guy who was there for me when I needed him even though maybe we didn't speak for a few months. Gonna suck not getting a text back when I text him Who Dat. My kids will know who he was though. One of the best men I've ever known.

RIP Vic I love you bro forever.

Losing a good friend is really hard. After a few years, for me at least, you start to look back and value the seemingly short time you had as friends, while also recognizing nothing here on earth is permanent. Early on, though, it can feel depressing to the point you withdraw from other friends or making new ones. Never forget you were as much a trusted friend to him as he was to you, and it's people like that which make life good and worthwhile.

Wow man. Terribly sorry to hear this.

Sounds exactly like me and my best friend. Met in 8th grade. Inseparable through high school. In college we went separate ways but when we chat every great once in a while it's like not much has changed. 34 years old as well.

Prayers to you and your friend's family.

Thats amazing love when someone has laughter in the face of death, a big middle finger to it.

And I'm sorry for your loss

Cancer sucks, sorry for your loss.

I have a good buddy who has cancer now and it is an extremely rare form that gets almost research due to no funding (the rarer the cancer the less funding & research). His oncology team basically told him they will try to keep him alive long enough for them to stumble into a better treatment.

The usual glide path to the end for his type of cancer is 5-10 years. Its a long slow painful path.

Like I said cancer sucks.

I feel your pain, brother.

Had it happen when one of the best friends a person can have had a massive heart attack at 45. We had been friends for 31 years.

What I would give to pick up the phone and hear that Southern drawl say, "Hey, old man. What are we doing?"

That big redhead wouldn't believe how many tears I've cried over him.

Sorry, Baw. I am glad you have made the decision to celebrate his life while mourning his death. Celebrating the living of a big life is a fine tribute.
