Not only is crime increasing, but due to being so understaffed, traffic enforcement has dropped to zero. I speed like the rest of them, but BRPD roadways have turned into demolition derby

People like Broome and her ilk will eventually push me out to the suburbs or out of state. She'll turn BR into Jackson

I'm beginning to wonder if the working plan is simply to crash the department and rebuild it in the Broome/Chambers design. This is a dangerous game she is playing.

Dude, if NBR had more grocery stores then there wouldn't be any murders

He wants more white-owned businesses in NBR so that he can tell black people not to go there. The circle of life.

He wants white folks to finance black owned businesses in NBR interest free with no expectation of repayment

I gave up really caring or attempting to even keep up with him. Now that the criminal cases with the AS situation is past us, he is completely irrelevant. If he and his ilk will be miserable over every perceived "wrong", they will have one terrible life. I blocked him on Fb just so I won't be tempted to go look at his nonsense.

We literally have areas where 5 grocery stores are in walking distance. While in North Baton Rouge they are mostly Shoppers Value and few of those. The population is there.

i cant think of that first area anywhere in BR

if this were the case, the stores would be there

does he honestly think a store like whole foods, fresh market, or robert's would work in NBR?

Did you see him ask if there was a black owned tow truck company.

Good to see society head 50 years back in time where it's ok to ask what color help will be coming to serve, Gary.

I've made a good living in BR and my wife likes it here. She's actually from Hoover. It's a city on a steep decline though and it's hard to argue otherwise. My daughter has 6 yrs of school left and I'm headed for cooler weather and some terrain

If it wasn’t for the pension, BRPD would be empty

Ding. There are not enough open spots in nearby departments for a whole bunch of them to move into and a lot can't feasibly relocate even if there are openings in other distant departments that would allow them to move and bring their accrued time with them.

So, a lot of them that have accrued significant time toward their retirement are stuck in that horseshite department.

If his assessment were true and a company could turn a profit, why doesn't he seize this valuable investment opportunity and lead a group to start a grocery store?

The fact the last produce stand closed in NBR what 1-2 years ago shows there is not enough income to support the store. He just says things like that to make people believe the BS he spews is true.

I feel like BR has been on a decline for decades now. At least that’s what everyone invariably says.

Yeah, this doesn’t look sketchy at all.

I’m guessing there will be a case or two of “blue flu” soon at this rate.
