I lived two houses over from an animal hoarder in Southdowns. After a while, I got tired of trapping and relocating her cats. Called animal control, they went into her house and saw all kinds of nastiness and dead cats, they called old people services, and old people services removed her from the house. That snowballed pretty quickly, but I didn't have any more late night cat sex under my house.

Can we get a half way decent candidate to run against her? The last one (Bodi White), even though he was the better of the two options, didn't exactly instill a lot of confidence in me. For the life of me, I don't understand why it's so hard to get a good candidate.

I am in the same train of thought. If there was a candidate people were actually hopeful in, the turnout would be better.

It's not a coincidence that literally every company that has looked into doing business in NBR decided against it. Money doesn't know color. If there is money to be made, someone will be willing to stick their neck out there to make it. But there is no money to be made so nobody tries.

It'll be great. I'd gladly vote for a Kip-like black democrat if it's the best option for BR. There are very few inspiring characters in Baton Rouge who have any desire to frick with the politics of this shithole, but Broome is about the worst thing for this city. We just need someone who empowers the police and focuses on traffic/economic development. I'm not asking to be NYC. Just a habitable city.

2. He wants other people to risk their money and pay him to be a middle man so he doesn't have to be responsible for anything.

This is why you do not have a village idiot as a chief. The guy is not qualified to run a city police dept. He was a glorified supervisor to traffic cops.
