Behind me? This is solid information

True story. I am an IT nerd. When EBR put all their tax roll data on OPENBR, I imported the entire dataset(like 1.5m records) to a SQL server db for fun.

So when I meet someone and I wanna know where they live, I have a view I created that pulls it all back by several parameters(taxpayer name, physical address, etc) I can pick from. It's ordered by tax year from 2015 to 2017 so if they sold in 2016 I will still see them.

LP and AP aren't downloadable but can easily find them here.

low voter turnout

Everyone who can vote in the next election should. Or should be ashamed of themselves for not voting.

You are right, everyone SHOULD. I would be willing to bet we get less than 40% voter turnout.

I work in IT too.

Does she have teenaged kids? The lady that lives behind me on the left side has a pool and there's always HS kids over there. I'm pretty sure her husband died right before we moved in.

No. I worked in this software in Texas right outta college 99-2001. It's always been public but until then, you had to subscribe to fancy services like LexisNexis who would physically get tapes of data from parishes/counties/cads around the country and load them into a relational database and then sell you subscriptions to access it.

In the last 10-15 yrs many other states have followed Texas by making this data available online for free.

Funfact Louisiana politicians briefly got Owner Names omitted from any search capabilities or displays when we first got access to EBR data. Was obvious why(Hide shite from wives and such). That didn't last. All there now.

This is a bad arse and very handy tool if you haven't seen it already.

Contrary to what he wants you to believe, he doesn't live in North BR. He's an uncle Tom, but found an opportunity for recognition in the AS shooting

Solid resource here too.

EBR Assesor's Geoportal

BR does a pretty good job with GIS and the open data stuff, when they keep the data up. I will give Mayor Broome this, the update of the city's website was way past due.

He does live in North Baton Rouge, Barely. He lives closer to this BREC Little League Park than he does Downtown BR. Leave it at that.
