This has been the most disgusting thread I’ve read on TD in many years.

Go back and read each post and ask yourself if you don’t truly see it as disgusting. Out of the first few pages there were only a couple of condolences mentioned, or any expressions of grief for what is a horrible tragedy. The inability for a group of adults to avoid projecting every negative experience or stereotype they hold with black people in America onto this pretty, local, and apparently gainfully employed young woman is astounding in a moment when the woman’s horrific death is being revealed to you.

fricking gross

Agreed, pretty bad.

With that said, if there were rules in place, either they didn't do a good job expressing the dangers or this person didn't take warning. I have OSHA 30, and my instructor made sure to show graphic videos for most points he was driving home.

Pretty much any thread here about an outrageous random death is like this. This thread isn't unique in its "disgustingness" for one reason or the other.

If you die in a crazy way people on the internet are going to joke about it.

Remember that if it every happens to you.

What are the chances that the rules were already there but being ignored or were previously there and rescinded due to "racism"?

Not likely. If rules are against having hair or a certain length for safety guidelines, nobody will have an issue with that. People only have issues when they're not allowed to wear their natural hairstyles

The CROWN act has nothing to do with this. The CROWN act is regarding being allowed to wear your natural hairstyles.

White women will generally have longer air than black women. So if there's a rule against having long hair, that would affect more white women than black women technically

Off the top of my head?
GAT.
Frontier.
The Airport.
The maker of the belt loader.
Don't rule out the cities (yes plural)
Parishes (yes plural)
And state.

I'm not saying that they should file these lawsuits or that they would even win.
