These stories always make me cringe.

One of my cousins married a woman who nearly had a similar fate. Hers was in a chicken house and her hair got caught in an exhaust fan of sorts. Fortunately, I guess, the fan was strong enough that it just ripped her hair out, essentially scalping her. It was a terrible injury.

The new state law does not address potential conflicts between an applicant's or employee's protected hairstyle and an employer's bona fide safety rules or measures. For example, an employee required to wear safety headgear might be precluded from safely doing so by the employee's hairstyle, if the hairstyle prevents the headgear from fitting properly.

Man I really thought y’all were being ridiculous saying there was probably some safety regulation that was being ignored so to not appear to be racist

And not only that. But there is a fricking piece of actual signed legislation saying you can ignore employment guidelines that encroach upon “ethnic hair” or whatever you want to call it

And the act is called “CROWN act”

Because you know…

We WUZ kangs

And now a young woman is dead because of this nonsense

I want off this clown world carousel
