Moving back to Austin, goodbye Houston

Left the Austin area 2.5 years ago for a job that I couldn't pass up. I'd been trying to get into this company for years and it finally happened. Only problem was I had to move to the Houston area. I've long referred to Houston as the butthole of Texas. It contains everything I despised about Baton Rouge, but on a significantly larger scale.
That said, the area has grown on me over the last couple of years and I'm going to miss it. We are right on the edge of The Woodlands and have grown to enjoy the area. It's still too congested for my liking, but we have made the most of it. Not to mention, I've really enjoyed my job. I kind of hate to leave, but I'm excited to get back home.
The job doesn't really change though, I'll be with the same company. I just get a promotion and a significant pay increase out of the move. It's truly a win/win for me.
I know I've trashed Houston on here, and I still feel the same about inside the city limits. However, this area has grown on me. I'm going to hate leaving this house, we love it. I'm sure we will find another great one, but we will have to pay a lot more and likely won't be in a gated community anymore. All fairness though, I want land this time. I'm done with the master planned community life.
I only posted this because Houston and Austin gets talked about a ton here. Areas outside of Houston can be pretty good, but Austin is still much better.

Not so subtle I am killing it in life brag. Had two siblings move to Austin with in the same year a decade ago. Been a bunch of times and I really don’t get the hype.
And if you don’t like congestion well I heard that’s not a problem in Austin.
