There are huge projects going on now to shift the traffic problem around to new bottlenecks and distract people.

As far as road quality, it doesn’t really rain enough for lots of potholes. Now hays county municipal can jump off the onion creek bridge south of 967 as far as I am concerned

Hey, he called me out. I was just responding to his BS

And full disclosure, I am from NOLA. Haha. 25 years. Then 10 in BR. Then 3 in Houma. 5 years in Houston now.

I wished I still lived LA but I’m not gonna shite on somewhere I never lived like OP did. I made the best of Houston. Money is good. People below good

However, this area has grown on me. I'm going to hate leaving this house, we love it. I'm sure we will find another great one, but we will have to pay a lot more and likely won't be in a gated community anymore.

So is this actually more like a win/win/lose then?

Houston is inferior to Austin in every aspect.

Yea I had fun watching UT play radford when I could have seen the rockets play the thunder

Or ut play Iowa at when I could have seen the Texans play the titans

Or Texas play utsa when I could have seen the Astros play the Yankees

Or Texas play Rhode Island when I could have seen the Aeros play.....

Wimberley. If you work from home and only have to travel to Austin a few times a week, Wimberley is where it’s at. Dripping Springs is a close second.

Sports? If sports is what drives your quality of life that much and you’re over the age of 25 you are living a very sad life.

So you're moving to the French Quarter of Texas.

Uh....Congrats?

Houston is cool. I have a great time there. It would be on my short list of places to live if I had to move. You are a giant douche who either can’t make friends or embrace the current climate/culture in which they are in.

Not to mention much cheaper to live in the burbs of Houston.

Maybe you should write romance novels instead of moving. You pussy.

You have no idea...

It wasn’t a very complete thought, but I think a lot of comparable things in Austin and Houston are a wash. Housing, nightlife, job market probably favors Houston. I’m salty Austin may never have a pro team of some kind. I would like to get rowdy in the parking lot with my fellow trashy jersey wearing brethren at something other than Texas games

You made the smart choice...Houston sucks for being the 4th biggest city in America
