Disagree.
It's pretty well documented that physical training does not help significantly with altitude sickness.

So, you're saying it can help some?

Please quote where I said it helps significantly.
It can help, that's the point. I've seen it.

Who has summited Mt McKinney and tell me about your experience. I am in the process of planning an ascent this spring.
Yes, I've made it to the top of old man McKinney's dirt mound a couple of times.

What's the highest elevation you've been at for any length of time?
Denali can make experienced climbers cry and die at times.

How much experience you have? Who you going with?
It's Denali

Mt McKinley is its slave name

No you aren’t if you’re asking how to get more experience between now and then. I’d set the goal 2 or 3 years down the road. Take some mountaineering courses through Alpine Ascents or similar. If you try to do it now you’re going to waste a lot of money and probably hurt yourself.

Kyle Maynard crawled up Kilimanjaro in 2016.

Don’t do Denali
I mean this is like running a 5k for the first time and then deciding to do the Kona Ironman.

Go climb Mt Baker or Mt Rainer first. Denali because of the weather and altitude is something totally different. If something goes wrong and you're inexperienced, you're fricked

I've made my NY Resolution to summit Everest this year.

The one bucket list climb I want to do is climb Half Dome at Yosemite NP. Would that take a lot of training? FWIW, I am training for a marathon now.

On Denali it's usually rescue rangers, ropes and sleds to get you down to the Ruth Glacier.
It may be days before they can even approach you because of weather.
