That's an Aspen tree. Not taken in Alabama. Final answer.

Don't know about that picture, but they are spotted in Alabama from time to time. I saw a pair just south of Auburn about 10 years ago. I don't think they are here in great numbers at all, but they can roam for great distances.

IDK, man, I think I'd rather die by gunshot than watch a kitty cat chew on my gall bladder while I cry out to Jesus and slowly black out.

It’s true there’s plenty of cougars at the bar in my town, always trying to hit up on the college guys…I think we’re talking about different things

Painters are in Louisisana so not surprised they are in Alabama.

That’s an Aspen tree in the foreground, so that cat is not in Alabama. There are panthers extant in the wild in Florida, but most are all tagged and monitored. It would not surprise me if there were a few left way in the back of beyond in western N.C., but I’d have to see it myself to believe it.

We call them cougars in the south. It's the same animal.

Buddy killed a massive one on my dads property just north of Birmingham about 5 years ago. And when I was stationed at ft benning GA we had a big one come on to the shooting range during an night fire we picked up on the FLIR. So certainly likely.

My mom showed me a "black panther" that was supposedly spotted up in northern Limestone County recently. I believe!

There was a mountain lion stalking around the Delaware/Maryland area . I was in Vegas and my daughter called to say there was a mountain lion near the horses. I didn't believe her, but there was our dog duchess barking -- defending the territory like a dumbass and the lion snarling at her. (you couldn't see the loin but you could hear the snarling)
The lion took off and duchess lived to tell about it for years.

Opossums are good for keeping ticks at bay. Need them MF'ers on the front line and not wiped out.
