That was my understanding when this story first broke out but I have never heard much about it since then.

Also if you go back to the original thread about this from 2020, “US District court in Nola ha stayed a bunch of civil cases where fraud has been alleged,” Motta was posting in here defending herself under the username vpbear. I can’t make this up.

Instead of gossiping, why don’t you look at the facts? I had 77 clients in state and federal in the amount of 3 years not 77 cases. I was brought into a case that wasn’t even mine and then the gossip began. Sad, to waste time writing about something you know nothing about, but don’t let the truth take away the story.

The paper this morning said that after the verdict was read and Vanessa did her little vomiting act, some people in the courtroom were yelling profanities at Brockton, the father of the teenage girl. Must have been some of Vanessa’s crew.
At least it’s good to know that the girl has a parent who will not be in jail and can take care of her. Unlike the 2 year old who will have both parents in the clink.

more comedy from David Courcelle, the new US attorney for the eastern district, from the original WDSU report that broke the story

quote:wasn’t decided civil district court Mr courcelle, but it was decided
But the plaintiffs -- and their attorneys -- paint a much different picture. Those law firms are Arnona Rose and The King Firm. Lawyer David Courcelle is representing both. In a written statement, he blasted the motion, saying: "Justice delayed is justice denied for injured victims. For over 10 years, trial counsel for these clients have tried cases for injured victims throughout New Orleans. These accusations and allegations of "suspicious activity" are nothing more than a tactic used over and over by billion-dollar insurance companies to intimidate injured victims and delay their search for justice in court. These baseless accusations define what it means to add insult to injury. The allegations are unsubstantiated and are based on racial profiling. For over one year, our clients have been ready to put forth their case and allow a jury of their peers to determine the truth in this matter. This matter has been set for trial three times over the last year, yet the insurance company and its lawyer have continued to delay this matter from getting to court. They have no witness who substantiates their wild accusations. In fact, their own driver has refused to come to court. Desperate people who cannot prove their unfounded claims have now resorted to smearing injured victims in the media, in the hopes of influencing potential jurors. It is and has been time for the truth to be determined by a jury at Civil District Court. The King Firm and Arnona Rose, LLC, are proud to represent and stand up for all of its clients, and we will not back down in the face of attempts at intimidation by the insurance companies and its lawyers."

Wasn’t that long ago that the King firm was big enough to be advertising at Pelicans games.

He’s an owner of Medport, a third party litigation funding company that was financing the illegitimate surgeries performed in Motta’s (and others’) staged accident cases. Ie, plaintiff signs agreement with them to repay costs of surgery from future settlement proceeds. Medport advances costs of surgery at discounted rate per agreement with doctor, then repays itself at full billed amount from settlement proceeds. Rinse and repeat.

So many PI hacks think they’re Steve Jobs because they have a referral network or good Google ads.

It's the overpriced marketing that they pay for. When they have enough money. They can kind of pick the one that will amplify the personality that they want to project the most. I have a feeling I know where he was putting his money
