We have a pool and my kids learned how to swim that exact same way by age 2. It’s dumb not to teach them if you have a pool.

There’s a local swim instructor that likely does similar tactics teaching young kids how to swim. Only difference is that the instructor does not allow parents to be present during lessons.
The kids literally learn to swim in a couple days.
