Sounds like she's looking for her 'keys' not her 'kids', maybe thats why she is so angry.

Seems a little excessive, TBH. I know this isn't a civil matter, but can we at least ask what the real damages are here?
She threw a computer screen at another person, hitting her in the shoulder.

How is that not aggravated battery?

The real damage is to our society as a whole. When people step outside the civil boundaries, you invite anarchy.

I once got fricked over by American Airlines in Miami while trying to fly back to Birmingham. I would high five this lady even though the kids is her responsibility.

I read the headline as the airport workers lost her kids, as in one of those unaccompanied minor situations. I could maybe understand going ape shite in that situation.

But this lady her own kids, and took her anger out over her own negligence.

WTF is that.

It is aggravated battery by any reasonable reading of the law. I was just thinking everyone could calm down and act like an adult, I guess. Seems like we never de-escalate a situation anymore. Everything goes from zero to, "well, shut down the airline and blame this here ho" in 5 seconds now, and frankly we're just playing right into the cops' hands with that shite.

Is there a reason you are defending this so hard? She destroyed property, assaulted employees, and disrupted the entire airport.

These charges are justified. Don't act like an animal, you won't be treated like an animal.

Airfare is way too cheap.

After the COVID stimulus checks came out, flying was no better than going to a Greyhound bus station.

I know this is about to get downvoted to hell, and I’m not defending her actions in throwing the computer and causing that whole scene but…

Is it possible in this day and age to have a little empathy for her? Flying with kids is very stressful, clearly they were running into issues and late (missed their scheduled flight), that adds a ton more stress.

She’s super stressed and exhausted, is trying to deal with the airlines and her kids disappear… I see how that could lead to a strong emotional outburst, shouldn’t have done the damage she did, but I don’t think this makes her some kind of terrible person, she was stressed out of her mind and hit a breaking point.

Umm...no.

Sane people would react by seeking help from airport employees, not destroying computers.

You deserve every downvote you're about to get. I don't care how stressed you are, this is unacceptable behavior in a civilized society. She should spend years in jail for this outburst, although I'd bet money all charges are pled down a disturbing the peace with a minor fine and she goes on to cause trouble elsewhere.
