What was this like? Was he as enthusiastic about life as he was on TV?

Sat in front of Doug Flute and got to visit with him. He and I were on a flight to Shreveport. He was playing against the Shreveport Steamer team of the CFL. Anyone remember that?

A cute blonde on my way to Charlotte who never flew before. She was alone and was so excited to look out the window so I switched seats with her. Talked to each other the entire flight and it seemed like no time. It was refreshing because most of the time I try to ignore the person sitting next to me since they're usually loud, obnoxious and have bad breath. This girl was a sweet, small town girl with a southern accent and truly was genuine right up to the point when I fricked her mouth.

Dan Rather, Steve Allen, Shaquille O'Neal (when he was at LSU).

Dan Rather probably most interesting (putting politics aside).

Sat next to this group of girls on my flight to Portland. Bunch of hippie girls who wanted to smoke pot. Anyway they had like 10 chairs all together but mine, I happened to be in the middle of it. Needless to say I heard some interesting conversations but the best part was the girl next to me took off her jacket and had a cut shite on with no bra. Her tits came out fairly easily and she apologized the first few times then it became a running joke and she didn't care unless the attendant was coming.

I was flying to Chicago about a month after 9/11 . There was a passenger sitting next to me with a cast on his foot. I asked him about it and he said that foot saved my life. It turns out he was at his hotel and slipped down about 5am the morning of 9/11 and broke his foot. He was due to fly on flight American Aifline Flight 77 that day.... he said he thought about it every day how he was spared. He showed me the ticket , said he was going to auction it off and if it sold for any significant amount, he would donate to the victims families

A hard rock miner. He had been to just about every country where gold or gems could be found. Really cool, old dude.

Danny DeVito, he initiated the conversation, was the funniest guy I've ever been around, and one of the shortest (without being a dwarf) I've ever seen.

From Amsterdam to JFK I had the great pleasure of sitting next to an old guy who was visiting his grandchildren in the US.

We talked more just to pass the time. Eventually he divulged that he was from Arnhem and in his teenage years he'd personally observed the paratrooper landings there during WW2. Apparently some of them landed on his family farm and as he provided enough detail that I think it's reasonably possible that I stayed at an AirBnb that used to be his house.

Not on the plane , but outside of LAX waiting on a shuttle to arrive for a while-- Bob Boone, former baseball player and at that time a front office guy for the Nationals i believe.. i didnt know who he was, but i saw his MLB bag and his name stitched on it and we talked for a while.. i apologized for being so ignorant about baseball, but blamed it on the fact that i grew up in NOLA without a Major League team.. he mentioned that his sons were also MLB players at the time (this was prob around 10 yrs ago), one was Bret i believe.. Boone just seemed like a pretty average guy, who happened to be a well-known athlete.
