Hungary for me, because we landed at 10:30pm at night and customs was "closed" so we just walked out the airport to the cabs with no stamp or check at all

So strange

I flew into Budapest in... 2010 or so? Customs was open. Guy took my passport and stamped it without ever looking up at me. So, in short, my experience wasn’t markedly different

Eta: I’m going to have to look at my old passport. I’m not even sure if he stamped it...

North Korean stamps are disappearing ink so they can imprison you for trespassing when you try to leave the country.

I have a bunch of good ones over three passports but my favorite is a stamp from Yugoslavia, during the USSR control, which in cryllic states that I have 48 hours to exit the country or be re-arrested. There is a date and time hand written. If it had taken me more than 48 hours to get to a border exit checkpoint, I would have had to be smuggled out or I would have done some serious time.

That is my most interesting one.

NK doesn't stamp. They give you a small visa separate from your passport that you have to return upon departing.

Maputo, Mozambique. The visa was $80 US at the airport. The guard at the metal detector was sleeping on departure day, so just hoped no terrorist were working that day.
