Most food stamp card people are really fat. That’s from years of observation.

I saw one the other day. A woman. With six-packs of all flavors of (Dr. Pepper, Coke, a couple kinds of Mt. Dew) just hanging on the sides and front of her cart. Piled inside of the cart was all kinds of shite, processed foods, nothing fresh to be seen. Down on the bottom runner was two of those big bag case variety pack deals of chips, another case of Mt. Dew Code Red, and one sad, out-of-place six pack of mini bottles of water.
I ended up behind her and what could have been her sister who had the same type shite in her cart, and they both used EBT. Both of them were easily over 300 lbs. I give them credit for actually walking, though, and not using the scooters. They probably don't like them, though, because they don't hold as much garbage.
ETA: Both were white womenses.

If i was in charge i would have a lottery and people that pay the most taxes would have the opportunity to pick a list of what the food stamp people can order from. They then go to a special grocery store and pick up their groceries.

Serious fines/jail should be levied against those that accept food stamps for cigarettes/alcohol.
What some of these small stores do is charge more and just ring it up as "food".
Both parties get what they want and the tax payer gets to foot the bill.

It wasn’t viable because rural grocery stores wouldn’t survive. The program should piss off every tax payer but it’s just a stimulus to keep grocery stores and farmers afloat. Also the program costs less that a tenth of a percent of the federal budget. There are bigger fish to fry, no pun intended.

Poor choices in what foods to eat. Plus sugary drinks are probably the largest contributor to healthcare expenses in America, and we are allowing people to purchase it with government assistance
