Popular ones are the Elisa Lam case, Cicada, Dyatlov Pass, LISK, the Zodiak, and the Sodder children. What’s the weirdest or strangest unsolved mystery you’ve ever heard of or read about?
Dude. My hometown, Jasper, AL has a shite ton of unsolved, publicized murders. From the car bombed nurse who got blown up after she got off work in the '70's, Carrie Lawson kidnapping, to the guy who got killed by a bomb on his lawn mower. Walker County aint no joke.

Boomer, is it just me or does it feel like the case is a lot older than 2014?

It does Rig. I think part of that is anyone from or that has lived in GA (especially that knows the Lake Sinclair/Lake Oconee) area has heard and wondered about this case a bunch.

Recent computer models say avalanche

I never understood the mystery around this one. Avalanche in the middle of the night, the sound scares the hikers and they run, hypothermia sets in fast, some try to hike out and also succumb to hypothermia.

Agnes Woodcock and her husband, Tom, stayed with Cindy, and one night heard noises and awoke to the basement in flames and the phone dead. Tom went to alert the neighbors. He saw a man at the curb and asked him to call the fire department. Instead, he simply ran off down the street. The police suspected that Cindy had staged the incident.

Kids died in the fire, but the fire was set deliberately.

I am fully convinced they got killed by either KGB agents or Soviet military because they saw something they weren't supposed to.

That seems like her ex boyfriend, the police officer did it. He would know when the stakeouts were.

The Lake Oconee murders, which are still unsolved, have always baffled me. Elderly couple in an affluent lake community murdered. Still hasn't been solved. There are several podcasts about it.

Eleanor Parker's disappearance.

I remember this well. I’ve wondered if they’ve done an updated touch DNA exam on her car and other items now that the technology has gotten better. Somebody knows something.

I was a student then. My guess is it was some local thugs who wanted to rob them and it turned into a murder. I’m just amazed that they were good enough to not leave evidence

Most definitely got caught.

I worked for Cameron when the father worked there. My wife taught at the school the kids went to and would see the Mom on occasion. Weird case.

Mrs. Ruth Dorsey

I had some friends who rented her house a couple of years after she disappeared. They said they would come home in the evening to find all the doors and windows open and the lights on. Sometimes they would find their dog whimpering in the bathroom for no apparent reason. Other times they would be awoken at night to find lights turned on and doors opened.

In another case, a couple of Chinese exchange students were brutally murdered in their apartment in Auburn. It was an old apartment unit where all the tenants were Chinese students -- and nobody saw nuthin'. Rumors were that the students did not want to go back to China and their government made an example of them. The building was soon torn down and another structure put in its place. The case was never solved.

Supposedly more than 1 gun shot went off. I'd still say Oswald isnt the killer. Just pinned for the crime....probably not the first but definitely not the last time.

OJ.

Here we have a black man acquitted in criminal court but not in civil. And it's the case every fricking intro law professor brings up explaining the two.

Yet... We still say the system is racist.

It's a racial thing. If two white baws from catholic did it, would have been international news.
