It's interesting how they can locate these using the infrared light signature they put out. They can look for them flying cameras that use a notch filter that is tuned to the wavelength of the plants.

I remember the first time I went out to a buddy's parents camp in Union Parish, and planted pot. Came in contact with some poison ivy, and ended up itching everywhere but my eyeballs.

Just fyi, the local utility can spot the marijuana growers based on usage. So if all of a sudden one neighbors bill goes from being consistent with his neighbors to being ten times what theirs is they are probably going to get pinched. So plan accordingly.
