Bunch of people up in here condemning the police for enforcing the law as written. NO ONE opining on the fact that their elected officials are the ones legislating this. Make the plant legal and the police won’t arrest you for it. The OT is usually more savvy than this.

Law enforcement (except the Sheriff himself) are not elected officials and I don’t want them making decisions as to what and what is not illegal. That’s a job for the elected legislature.

Just fyi, the local utility can spot the marijuana growers based on usage. So if all of a sudden one neighbors bill goes from being consistent with his neighbors to being ten times what theirs is they are probably going to get pinched. So plan accordingly.

Depending on what they are running.

If they have a good 600w HPS system they have in a 5x5 quality grow tent (I have a gorilla grow tent, I'd swear by those), that can handle 4 or 5 good indica or hybrids. If you are going 18/6 to 12/12 it wont make that noticeable of a difference.

And depending how it was grown, the genetics, (SOG method or similar), after 4 or 5 months, you can come away with close to a good pound of personal for your own usage without setting off alarms.

16 ounces in a pound, if you can make an ounce last a week, then you're good.

Based on the size of the plants, this was an outdoor grow. He should have topped them to reduce the height and create a more bushy denser plant.

It's a lot easier to discreetly hide a smaller plant vs a weed tree.

Also, it's not real smart to do an outdoor grow on your property where anybody can come up on it or see it.

Much more discreet to do an indoor grow.

To the guy talking about power usage, led grow lights have evened up the game a little bit. The cops need a warrant to see your power usage. If they get to the point they are looking at your electricity usage, they already know about you and your getting busted anyway.

This is true. It's easy to grow personal stash if you tell absolutely no one.

The guys that get popped are to loose lipped or to greedy. The more you grow and especially if you sell it your chances of getting busted skyrocket.

Too tired this morning, read that as Whorehouse.

In 8th grade we had to learn the parishes and parish seats.

Morehouse - Bastrop

was remembered as

Whorehouse - Bastard

by my 8th grade mind.

Solor options now make this concern obsolete. Plenty of closed systems running on batteries.

What’s comical is that those officers are acting like they did something amazing.

I love the don’t blame me, blame the law makers comments from officers when they do BS like that.

Anytime someone is arrested, no one is looking at law makers. People wanna know what POS officer made that comical BS arrest over a plant?
