Chiropractors use pseudo science.

Optometrists are actually taught and are board certified to diagnose and treat eye diseases. They have seen expansion of scope of practice into the realm of eye surgery similar to a PA/NP in other medical fields.

Two of these are not like the others...

Hell, PAs and NPs have more education and they don't have that right and rightfully so.

In order of most to least valid "Doctor" titles:

MDs, including opthalmologists
Orthodontists
Optometrists, dentists, pharmacists (assuming they have the credentials)
PhDs in an educational setting

**POWER GAP**
People who played Operation as a kid
PhDs outside an educational setting
JDs
Chiropractors
Race hustler "doctors"

ETA: forgot vets. They go in the same category as optometrists

Chiros because they universally advertise “Dr. “ instead of their degree. This is misleading in the context of seeing a true physician.

I get the are chiros doctor debate, but a good chiropractor definitely isn't pseudoscience. There's a reason most professional athletes use them

I'll say Chiro because I'll refer to my physical therapist as Dr before I refer to my chiro as Dr. I actually changed chrio's because the one I used to go to kept insisting I refer to him as Dr even though we knew each other before he became a chrio (weren't friends, just ran in similar circles)

Chiropractors are NOT doctors in any sense of the word.

Optometrists really aren’t either, but at least their profession is medically legitimate.

Are the MDs that refer to chiros quacks and using pseudoscience? What about the DOs and PTs that use spinal manipulation? Pseudo science?

If you're definition of "doctor" equals drug prescriptions/surgery then sure, not a doctor. Guess Doctors of PT aren't "real" doctors either.

I'll agree with you on this one, Mingo. But, it doesn't matter to the people who shite on chiros constantly.

Most people say they went to the eye doctor. Or they went to the doctor when talking about family medicine etc.

When talking about Chiro they say Chiropractor not Dr. say there is that.

However you left one out that always comes to mind. DERMATOLOGIST.
