Depends on the type of job. Working a turn a round type, I could see this lifestyle for a few months.

A normal 8-5 tho, what do you do with free time? Just sit in a car in a parking lot? Seems like the boredom and comfort would fade away after a couple days. That or you’d become an alcoholic and/or drug addict.

Really not that difficult. Thousands of truckers live in their trucks every night.

He keeps up like that and he will retire at 50. Probably live in a utility shed.

If this guy’s bar is sex with randoms who he can’t even tell basic things about himself (like where he lives), then I guess he’s doing OK.

Intrigued by this way of living, I'm in a FB group called "Car Camping" and it is full of great tips and tricks

I knew a guy a few years ago that lived in an enclosed trailer. Like landscapers use. I think he said it cost him about 4k to build it out. It had a bedroom, toilet, shower and small kitchen (fridge, microwave, coffee pot, and induction burner) He was a photographer and went to horse shows all over the country (English equestrian). Made good money but his plan was to retire at 40. My daughter (no pics) stopped riding but he is probably still doing it. He is probably about 34-35 now.

I guess it was about the same size as a teardrop trailer.

Once you freely choose to live in a car, you’re no longer normal

I hope he lives where’s it’s pretty chilly all the time. Imagine living in the south in your car where it’s 99 during the day.

I did it for a few months when I was down on my luck about 10 years ago. I had lived with my (then) girlfriend for 7 years and when we decided to split ways I had nowhere to go. She offered for me to stay and sleep in the guest bedroom until I could find a place of my own, but I had to get TF out of there mentally.

I had been working to help pay bills and had been the man of the house since I was 13 years old and my parents split up. That's going to school, doing the yardwork and other "man" jobs around the house, mowing the lawn, building fences, and working a job to help pay bills since barely a teenager. It was a lot of weight on my shoulders.

I went straight from living with my mom and sister and handling everything there, to moving in with her at 23 and being the man of that house, paying most of the bills too. So when we split up and I had nowhere to go, I said frick it and slept in my truck at places that had well-lit lots, nearby bathrooms, and wifi.

It was meant to only be for a few days, but turned into a few months. I went and bought fabric and hand cut curtains for my truck windows, I went and bought a cheap tablet and a mount I rigged up to hang down from my visor. After work I'd go to the gym and shower, wash clothes if I needed to, and then go park in my spot and put up the curtains. I'd recline the seat all the way back and kick back and binge TV shows on my heads-up tablet until I fell asleep.

It was the most free I had ever been. No mom and sister or SO to care about, no household duties or worries about protecting anyone else, no bills other than the gas to keep the truck running on cold nights, none of it. Just me.

I kept cases of water and food in an ice chest, had regular power outlets both in the bed of the truck and inside to power anything I needed. I honestly could've lived like that much longer, I actually miss it some days. I was also able to save a ton of money and would even splurge on a high end hotel room every couple weekends in different cities to treat myself.

It went from an inconvent and depressing situation the first couple days, to the most free and unshackled I've ever felt.

But where did you masturbate? Some people, in this very thread, really wanna know.

I dig you on the "freeing" part, though.

Get you a storage shed near restaurants, and a fan and solo stove for heat.
