I can barely sleep on an airplane with the seat reclined. I can’t imagine trying to sleep in a reclined car seat every night. Saving money is important but getting good sleep is worth a lot IMO.
I think his first few years he had a hatchback accord. He would lay down the back seat and had a small mattress.
He graduated to a small van. Gutted the back and made a lofted bed. Had some small appliances.

That makes more sense. Did his students ever find out?

Define good money comrade.
Good enough to afford a decent house 5 years ago, but now have to live in a van to save up enough for their half-million cardboard shack.

If you're on Instagram, check out Truck Bed Living. Some amazing builds. I could never do a regular car, but I could easily live in one of those Class B vans. The only problem is that some are damn near a quarter mil.

Don’t give that vague bullshite answer. Give me an amount. What is good money to you?

He wasn’t hiding it. Guy could have afforded a place easily. It was a play to get ahead as a low earner in his profession.

20 years from now half the people under 30 will live in an electric RV with solar panels and a star link antenna and just travel city to city like Nomads.

If I got divorced again I would just buy one of those pimped out sprinters and be a nomad for a while.

You first? I owe you nothing, and it's not a bullshite answer.

A lot of middle class men end up living out of their car after getting divorce raped & having to pay insane amounts of child support & alimony.
Funny how if a man can't afford sky high child support he goes to prison.
If a single mom slut can't support her children she gets welfare & section 8

Typical. Good money should be 6 figures plus in 2025. Maybe you can’t afford to buy, so what? Rent. I made 33k my first year in DC and had 3 roommates splitting a house in NE DC for 3300 a month.
This faux plight of people having to live in their cars or being homeless shows me your concept of good money is 30-50k

And tax credits

Too vague. What kinda digits are you making, Mr. DC Dataminer?

So, roughly $25/hour is what you think I'm referring to.

Just be a slave for someone else and shove the entirety of your $25/hour check up their arse the rest of your life. If only you had pulled yourself up by the bootstraps you can double that and maybe save a pittance so that you, too, can one day live in a cardboard box like me.

I think glamorizing this lifestyle for most people is over.
There are still people doing van life, but most people who would end up doing it either tried it or contemplated hard, and realized that the lifestyle is not for them.
If you go full decked out van, you really don't save terribly much money.
You have to find parking
You have to find water
You likely end up getting takeout more than you first envision
You're confined to a box

Enough to be in the 2% of earners in the US, from making 37k in 2013.

How about you clarify and remove all doubt about what you’re referring to?

So you can save, have a place to call home, be mobile for upward opportunities and then buy when the timing is right. I live on the water, no cardboard boxes here.
By all means continue your victim mentality about how the man is getting you down!

Yeah okay.

Just took a look at your recent post history. A couple pages glance, you seem obsessed with how much money other posters made. You also seem to be a very angry little man. Assuming you're a man, who knows these days? Screams insecurity, speaking of losers.

Shocking to someone like you I know. But I was able to stop working for the “man” and paying rent to the “man” and start my own business. Oddly all of my employees make 80-120k and live in nice homes.
As I said originally, upgrade your social circle, or don’t I don’t give a frick

Such an angry little insecure man, jfc.
I've wasted more time than you're worth. Goodnight.
