Hope you never have to go to the hospital

these medical so called specialists are fricking clowns.

guy has an abscess growing under the skin on his finger, doctor sends him home with ointment, claiming it's arthritis, Buwahahahaha. He comes back, as it's growing to the size of a baseball.
Doctor, then claims it's cancer, but let take a piece of the skin and find out for sure. 7 more days, tests come back, it's not fricking cancer, it's a god damn infection.

These assholes kept him in severe pain, and nearly killed him after months of guessing and not doing their jobs.

Just episode after episode of incompetent doctors and specialists.

MY favorite might come on later, girl notices her skin looks like it's being eaten from the inside out. Doctor says it's poison fricking ivy and sends her home to put on an ointment. Well, family demands to see a specialist and after failed guess after guess, some one finally actually does some work and studies what she has, and it's a flesh eating bacteria, this girl is in pain, and clearly has no ivy or oak, and they finally help her to stop what damage it's doing, and try to get her help down the road for any damages from it.

Wow, stay healthy my friends

It's a tv show, not real life

Medical Mistakes 3rd Leading Cause of Death

quote:

Johns Hopkins patient safety experts have calculated that more than 250,000 deaths per year are due to medical error in the U.S. Their figure, published May 3 in The BMJ, surpasses the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC’s) third leading cause of death — respiratory disease, which kills close to 150,000 people per year.

Nope. Nope. Nope.

That show and Mystery Diagnosis have been responsible for me "having" every weird arse affliction in the world. I had to stop watching them.

The fact that you believe this is not scripted is laughable

My wife had this chronic, non-specific pain in her side a while back. I told her right away that I thought it was some kind of muscle strain, like an oblique or something.

This was also the diagnosis her physician arrived at something like 3 months and 3 visits later, having ruled out about 5 other things first. Honest to God, he even suggested it might be sickle cell anemia at one point .

Some of the infections on that show are one in a million situations. Not always easy to diagnose.

You’d think a camera crew from “Monsters Inside Me” tagging along with a patient would tip off the doctor that something was up.

Some people are so freaking stupid.

third leading cause of death

This is such a BS statistic and needs to die. That John’s Hopkins study extrapolated from other studies reporting 9 and 14 deaths then applied it to the rest of the country.

This absurdly high death count would mean that over 50% of hospital deaths are due to medical error.

Nah…. Most hospital deaths are because people are fricking sick. And fat. Sick and fat. And old. Sick, fat, and old.

These statistics are propaganda cited by journalists for clicks and hospital safety officers for jobs.

That said, I’m not against patient safety initiatives. I’m just against this statistic.

This is the definition of “thanks Obama”

Healthcare workers are so overworked they often “punt” cases based on the percentages

Yes, because all doctors are incompetent…

And none of these cases are cherry picked for the show…

Do they ever show the cases where a diagnosis saves the persons life? I bet not.

I was diagnosed with a minor infection but it was testicular torsion. Because of the misdiagnoses I had to have a testicle removed.

It appears to be maggots in someone’s mouth, but how exactly does that happen?

It has to be some made up gif.
