I dated a girl for about a year that lived in Swartz. I think she is a school teacher now.
A couple of my buddies that went to OCS I still talk to. And I had a few that went to OHS I still talk to, also

I also knew some St Fred’s people.

I was born and raised in the Monroe Area for my first 20 years, but have been in the Baton Rouge area for the last 20 years.

If there's anybody qualified to answer this question I think it's me?

I’m from Denham and live in Monroe now. I go back and forth.

If you are young and single, Monroe is tough. I do love the small town life with everything I need within my reach. I drive less than 3 miles a day, don’t sit in traffic at all, and have the entire town at my disposal.

Night life is decent, and the people have been receptive to me as a transplant. God help you, though, if you have a problem meeting people.

COL is so cheap, I live like a king on what would be a meager salary in BR. Live in a 3 bed 2 BR house on the north side for less than a grand a month.

Baton Rouge by a mile. Monroe doesn't have LSU nor is it an hour from New Orleans. Monroe has better traffic, but that's about where the advantages end considering the massive spike in crime they are currently suffering.

Yeah, I’m not lookin’ for nightlife outside of dinner and some live music.
Love fishin’, have a bass boat, and would love to live on some water.

I’m leanin’ Monroe or surrounding area.

The job in Baton Rouge is just more enticing.

Get you a house on the Ascension Parish side of Diversion Canal or on False River and live the baw life in the Cajun Riviera.

Wow! this is like picking if you should sleep with the ugly 300 pound girl or the ugly 310 pound girl. What job would give you the awesome choice of these two cities?
